Vettaly is a technical SEO audit tool. Paste a URL and get a scored report across six rule categories—meta, structure, links, indexation, performance and content—with site crawls, AI fix suggestions, rank tracking and trend discovery after sign-up.
Challenge
Most SEO tools hand you a single score without showing how it was reached or what to fix first. And a product that sells SEO has to pass its own test: multilingual, indexable, fast, and able to keep acquiring users through organic search and backlinks.

Solution
We set “the score is not a black box” as the product thesis and organized design, interaction and growth around it: the URL field leads the homepage and a report needs no account; every scoring rule is public with a stable ID; the site itself is built to technical-SEO standards, then content and link building keep organic traffic growing after launch.
A zero-friction first screen
The hero is one URL field and an Audit free button—no sign-up, report kept for 24 hours—with a sample report right below, so visitors know what they’ll get before they type.
A traceable scoring system
Six weighted categories, each rule with a public, stable ID and a fixed deduction. Reports itemize every deduction, surface the top issues first, and let users mark rules that don’t apply as acknowledged.
A multilingual site built on technical SEO
English, Simplified Chinese and Japanese are linked with reciprocal hreflang and an x-default, structured data covers the organization, the software application, its pricing and the FAQ, and pages are server-rendered so crawlers get the full content.
Ongoing growth through content and links
The blog publishes steadily on technical SEO questions while link building raises domain authority; the product’s own Trends feature feeds back into topic selection, closing the growth loop.

Why can visitors get a report without signing up?
Sign-up is where SEO tools lose most people—asked for an email before seeing any value, they leave. Giving a complete single-page report first lets visitors see exactly where every point went, and then sign-up unlocks site crawls and report history.
Why are all the scoring rules public?
“The score is not a black box” is Vettaly’s product thesis, and public rules are the most direct proof. Every rule has a stable ID that teams can cite and track in tickets, and rules that don’t apply can be acknowledged, which makes reports more trustworthy and easier to share.
