Cabinet hardware B2B catalogue

Hardware sold by the carton, readable at a glance

Pivot & Pin hero: oversized headline cabinet hardware, by the carton, a search bar and a drafting grid

Background

Pivot & Pin makes concealed hinges, drawer slides, pulls and lift stays for cabinet makers, kitchen brands and importers. Orders go by the carton, and every order can start with samples.

Challenge

Buyers want part numbers, sizes and MOQs, not lifestyle shots—yet dozens of SKUs laid flat quickly look like a spreadsheet. The site had to hold catalogue rigour and still be memorable.

Our Role

  • Visual Identity
  • Web Design
  • Frontend Development

Solution

We borrowed the language of engineering drawings: a pale grid, a very large headline and a single blue square as the brand mark. Product cards share one format—product photo on white plus four spec lines—feeding an RFQ list instead of a cart, with OEM services and a quote form to close.

SKU cards on one spec format

Photo, part number, name, four spec rows and two actions on every card, so eight categories compare side by side.

An RFQ list instead of a cart

“Add to RFQ” collects part numbers and quantities; the form’s placeholder shows the expected format, e.g. “PP-H35 · nickel · 20,000.”

Searchable part numbers

A persistent search by part number or size, with a ⌘K hint, lets repeat buyers skip the browsing.

Frequently asked questions

The questions we’re asked most about this project’s design choices and delivery.

Why an RFQ list instead of a cart on a B2B hardware site?

Cabinet hardware sells by the carton, and price depends on quantity, finish and trade terms, so it rarely has a list price. An RFQ list lets buyers collect several part numbers and quantities at once, and sales replies with unit prices, carton counts and samples—closer to how procurement actually works.

Why are product photos all on white?

Buyers compare dozens of SKUs side by side. Consistent photos on white, four fixed spec rows and the same button positions let eight categories compare at a glance in one grid, while the grid backdrop, oversized headline and blue square carry the brand.

Why search by part number?

Repeat customers usually know the part already, such as PP-H35. A persistent search by part number or size, with a ⌘K shortcut, takes experienced buyers straight to the product without browsing the catalogue.

What stack suits a B2B hardware catalogue?

For up to a few hundred SKUs we typically use static generation with a headless CMS: the client team maintains product data, pages are generated at build time for speed and search, and RFQs sync to the CRM or sales inbox. Sites like this usually launch in 4 to 6 weeks.
